It’s the time when we want to share love, receive love, and give love. In fact, pretty soon, we will see people who are either satisfied with the loves in their life or terribly lonely due to this time of year. I’m going to share with you four points on what is love so that you can discover if it is in your own life.

#1: Love Is Patient
To be in the presence of one who truly loves another is to see how patient love can be. It can be the love between a parent and child, or a mentor and mentee, or husband and wife. When the love is patient, the other person knows it without a doubt. The scripture teaches us that Jacob, worked for his father-in-law for 7 years in order to marry Rachel. But then he was double-crossed and had to work an extra 7 years. He worked a total of 14 years in order to earn the right to be wed to the woman he loved. When describing Jacob’s labour, the scripture says the years were “in his eyes, like a few days” because of his love for Rachel.
