Make your marketing so useful, people will pay you for it. ~ Jay Baer
If you care about people, sell them a product or service they need to lift them out of their problem. ~ Vaughn Berkeley, MBA
This world we live in with the plethora of social media has created a glut (huge surplus) of information available online. Think about it. Do you really need another useless email list subscription to fill your inbox and stealing 10 to 30 minutes of your time?
I loathe when internet marketers don't respect my time and expect me to sit through a 3-hour webinar in order that they can sell me their product, but I digress.
you can increase your #optins by doing these three things on your webpages.
I shop online like I shop when I go to the supermarket. I have a list of items I need in my hand or on my phone, and I walk over to the properly labelled isle and I walk to the spot on the shelf where I look at the product I want. And I take it off the shelf, cross off that item from my list and move onto the next item.
#1: Respectful Use Of My Time
Remember that today everyone is super busy and so you have to be respect of everyone's time. If you are selling web design, layout their options up front. Don't bombard them with a million different offers or Call-To-Actions on your site. Pick the CORE C-T-A.
#2: Let Your Giveaway Be Valuable
Marketers all tell you to give away your best items so that your prospect can see they get real value with you. There's a point to that. If you give away crap, you create a sour taste in your potential client/reader/fan's mouth. And they might spit you out.
#3: Readability Challenge
It's like you are tormenting your potential customer/client/fan/reader when you create this great offer for them but your colour scheme or choice of fonts, or font size makes it impossibel to read it. Do you really want to do that to them? As pretty as you think it looks, KISS it. (Keep It Simple Style)
The purpose of having your webpage is to COMMUNICATE with your potential customer/client/fan/reader. All the colours, fonts, images, fancy layouts, opt-ins are just frills. But when the frills are louder than the message, you'll lose opt-ins. Remember that CLARITY is at the heart of great communications.
Until next time, continue to learn and grow.
